June 5 2019 The High Desert Yardbirds defeated Wasco Reserve 21-7 behind a 21-hit offensive performance at Adelanto Stadium. High Desert scored in six innings, including three runs in the first, four in the fourth, six in the fifth, and six in the eighth to pull away in the high-scoring contest. Wasco collected 14 hits and scored three runs in the fourth, two in the fifth, one in the sixth, and one in the ninth.
Daniel Anciso led the Yardbirds with three hits, four runs batted in, and a home run. D. Reddy went 4-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored, while Daniel Gardner added four hits, two RBI, and two runs. Hector Morales drove in two runs, and Slayton Vaughan and Ed Milian each contributed two RBI. High Desert also received two hits and two RBI from B. Harmon and two hits and an RBI from Dillon Fahr.
Jacob Rosales earned the win after allowing seven hits and five runs, three earned, over five innings. He walked three and struck out nine. Nico Maldonado worked two innings and allowed one run, while Joey Macaluso finished with two innings of one-run ball.
AJ Clayton took the loss for Wasco after surrendering three hits and five earned runs in one inning. Max Williams started for Wasco and allowed eight hits and seven runs in 3 2/3 innings, while Matthew Fountain gave up six hits and seven runs over 2 1/3 innings.
