June 22 2019 The High Desert Yardbirds defeated the Bakersfield Train Robbers 7-6 in 11 innings. High Desert scored the decisive run in the 11th after the teams were tied 6-6 through 10 innings. The Yardbirds finished with 11 hits while Bakersfield collected 12.
Daniel Gardner led High Desert with three hits including a double and two RBI. Ed Milian added a home run and two RBI while Anthony Ward drove in a run. High Desert scored twice in the second and seventh innings and added single runs in the fourth eighth and 11th. Bakersfield received a three-hit four-RBI performance from Karlos Joseph who hit his fourth home run of the season. Reinaldo Valdez also had three hits and Deandre Smith contributed a triple.
Evan Bell earned the win after allowing one hit and no runs over 3.2 innings while walking four and striking out two. Harry Ferguson worked six innings for High Desert and allowed four runs three earned on nine hits with five strikeouts. Reid Feeley struck out eight over six innings for Bakersfield and allowed three runs one earned on five hits. Edilson Alvarez took the loss despite allowing one run that was unearned over three innings. Bakersfield committed seven errors in the game.
